Getting people interested in an event is one thing, getting them through the door is another.
Someone can like the poster, follow the event, share it and say:
“I'm definitely coming.”
Then Friday arrives.
They're tired.
Their plans changed.
Their friend cancelled.
They found something else to do.
Or they simply stayed home.
That's one of the uncomfortable realities of events:
Organizers aren't only trying to make people notice an event, they're trying to make people believe it's worth giving up their evening, money and time for.
You see the finished event.
You don't see all the uncertainty that comes before it.
Interest doesn't equal attendance.
